In this five part series produced by Needham’s Domestic Violence Action Committee along with REACH Beyond Domestic Violence and The Needham Channel, Domestic Violence is discussed through the eyes of a survivor, as well as a panel of experts in the field. In the second episode, we meet Brittney, a survivor of Domestic Violence. Roxanne Taylor speaks with her, along with Deb Jacob, a member of Needham’s DVAC and a volunteer at REACH, as well as Sydney Carter, Community Engagement Specialist at REACH, returning from Episode 1. The topic of this episode is How Trauma and Domestic Violence Overlap.
In the third episode, host Sydney Carter welcomes back Brittney, a survivor of Domestic Violence to talk about how a survivor may interact with police and experience the court system. Also joining the conversation are Victoria Denneno, Community Outreach Officer from the Needham Police Department and Pam Jordan, Director of Community Advocacy at REACH.
The fourth episode is about healthy relationships: their definition and why they are important. Host Roxanne Taylor speaks with Brittney, a survivor of Domestic Violence, along with a returning Pam Jordan, the Director of Community Advocacy at REACH, as well as Jessica Teperow, CEO and Founder of JT Consulting, who has worked in the Sexual and Domestic Violence field for 25 years.
In the final episode, host Roxanne Taylor discusses resources available for Domestic Violence Support Services with Brittney, a survivor of Domestic Violence, along with a returning Victoria Denneno, Community Outreach Officer from the Needham Police Department, as well as Emily Turnbull, Law Enforcement Clinical Support at Riverside Mobile Crisis.
